Meg Bannick

Meg Bannick has spent many years embedded in her community through volunteer leadership in literacy programs and nonprofit organizations. Meg is deeply engaged in creating educational opportunities for first-generation college-bound youth and supporting the farmworker community. A part of the SV2 community since 2019, Meg has participated in all immersion trips and many grant rounds, including co-leading the “Reimagining Education Equity in the COVID Recovery” grant round. Currently, Meg serves as an SV2 Partner Champion for ALAS and also works with a farmworker organization in Watsonville. She also tutors and mentors twelve students who will be the first in their families to attend college and hosts a multigenerational bilingual poetry and book club with the families she serves. She has a master’s in education from Lesley University and a bachelor’s from Bowdoin College.
