Sophie Vong-Karlage

Sophie is a nonprofit professional and Master’s student in Philanthropic Studies at Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. She is eager to understand philanthropy from all angles, from frontline fundraising to collaborative grantmaking. Originally from Southern China, she lived in Japan and is fluent in English, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Hakka. She draws on her multicultural background in her service on the Board of Neighbors Abroad, Palo Alto’s sister city organization.
