SV2 was founded to help donors like you amplify the impact of your giving through the power of collaboration. Working with fellow Donor Partners, you will:
Fund nonprofits and mission-driven social enterprises focused on the issues you care about.
Roll up your sleeves and collaborate directly with those organizations.
Learn about the challenges facing our most vulnerable neighbors and how best to address them.
As an SV2 Donor Partner, you’ll have the opportunity to nominate organizations to receive grants, conduct diligence on nonprofits and companies being considered for funding, and vote on whether to move forward with grants and investments. You can play a leadership role in various aspects of the process, and you’ll have the chance to work directly with the nonprofits we support, building rich and meaningful relationships with their leaders as you offer them your expertise and insights.
Donor Partners are also invited to participate in selecting for-profits to invest in. You can join monthly pitch calls to hear from prospective investees, ask them questions, and offer your perspective on moving forward with the diligence process. Seven of our most experienced Donor Partners serve on the Investment Committee, actively shaping SV2’s investment strategy and portfolio.
Perhaps the most enriching part of the SV2 Donor Partner experience is how much you’ll learn, both by participating in SV2’s work and in structured learning programs. We believe strongly in the ripple effects of our work: as Donor Partners learn more about equity, justice, and the best practices of giving, they make SV2 more effective — and also expand their own giving and impact investing outside of SV2.
