Charity Silkebakken brings a personal, hands-on approach to everything she takes on — from her years as a software product manager, to raising her children while running a home cake artistry business, to logging many volunteer hours in her children’s classrooms and with Scouts BSA. She currently serves as Unit Commissioner for her son’s former Scout troop, in which capacity she serves as a District liaison, supporting programs that mentor young people toward self-reliance and achievement. Charity’s belief in the power of mentorship is deeply personal: through her church community, she came alongside a teenager being raised by a hardworking single mother, tutoring him in high school Geometry and helping her community walk with him through life skills — and today he is a self-sufficient young man who manages his finances with confidence. That experience showed her firsthand what is possible when young people with drive and a can-do attitude are given just a little guidance and support. It is why she is so inspired by MyPath’s mission to build financial capability in youth, and why she is eager to bring her energy and genuine care to the Partner Champion role as an SV2 Donor Partner.
