Being in Community with South Coast Neighbors and Puente de la Costa Sur

Let’s get together with our South Coast neighbors as they “cross the bridge toward independence”. We’ll learn more about Puente de la Costa Sur, connect with South Coast community members who will share their stories, strengths, and experiences, and have small group discussions on important community topics such as mental health, community development, and legal services.

Founded in 1998, Puente de la Costa Sur promotes and advocates for equitable access to education, health, and economic security among those in Pescadero, La Honda, Loma Mar, and San Gregorio. They focus on creating equitable opportunities for: farmworkers, low-income households, students and parents in the local school district, first generation college students, children 0 to 5 years old, and seniors.

Puente de la Costa Sur was selected as a Community Partner in SV2’s 2021 Economic Inclusion Grant Round. This co-created Get Proximate experience is one of our initial steps in strong trust and relationship building together.
