Education Equity Grant Round Meeting #3 | Learning + Sharing

SV2 Partners will go deeper in their learning about the five finalist organizations by discussing the coffee chats and financial review.

In Meeting #3 in person at SV2, Partners will go deeper in their learning about the five finalist organizations by discussing the results of the coffee chats and the financial review. The coffee chats are relational, structured, and tend to be very energizing conversations! The coffee chats replace written grant applications, which can often be very burdensome for busy nonprofit leaders to complete, and can detract from their organization’s key work.

This meeting will be in person at SV2. Lunch will be provided.

Location

Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2) | 350 Twin Dolphin Drive Suite 103, Redwood City, CA 94065. We are in the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits. There is free parking in front of the building. We are on the first floor and the building is ramp accessible. When you enter the building, you’ll see our office straight down the hallway, our doors will be open and we’ll be ready to greet you!

About the Grant Round

We’re learning what Education Equity means in our community, this includes: equitable K-12 student academic support, school safety and culture, family engagement, access to developing basic skills, re-defining success, teacher training, connecting with role models, accessible and reliable afterschool programs, and tutoring.

In SV2’s Education Equity Grant Round, we’ll listen and engage with our community, learn, and select two nonprofit or fiscally sponsored organizations to each receive $90,000 in unrestricted funding over 3-years, beyond-the-dollars support from our network, and friendship. Throughout, we’ll practice trust based philanthropy.
