EPIC – The Environment Partner Interest Circle is hosting a conversation with Doug Silverstein, Environment and Sustainability Lead of Thrive, The Alliance of Nonprofits for San Mateo County. Doug will share his journey of building a community of the more than 150 cross-sector entities currently working toward a more sustainable San Mateo County. He will dig into the frameworks, meeting cadence, and what it takes to develop a shared vision and goal, including this group’s inaugural initiative aimed at eliminating single use plastics county-wide. Doug is a Bay Area native, UC Berkeley graduate, and formerly worked in the finance and technology industries with Cisco, Oracle, BNY Mellon Investments, and others.
In addition, we will use part of our time to share environment-focused actions Partners are taking that have been spurred and/or accelerated by COVID-19. This event is open to Partners, Prospective Partners, SV2 Teens and Kids. RSVP here.
