Come listen, learn, and share impactful guidance to advance the success of youth and families.
Join us for an inspiring and impactful discussion with Redwood City Together (SV2’s Community Initiative Grantee Partner). We welcome new and seasoned Partners alike to participate. You do not have to be a Redwood City or North Fair Oaks resident to be a valuable participant.
Redwood City Together’s goals over the next three years:
- Expand mentorship opportunities and connect youth to living wage jobs and skills development opportunities
- Adopt universal preschool and expand subsidized preschool spots for lower-income families
- Engage youth with relevant, personal, and paid experiences on youth advisory boards to help shape programming, services, and policies that affect them
Our Peer Coaching Sessions contribute to these goals. We’re excited to gather again!
Upcoming Peer Coaching Sessions (please RSVP accordingly):
- Friday 11/22: 10-11:30AM on Zoom
- Thursday 2/20: 1-2:30PM in person in Redwood City with lunch
- Thursday 4/17: 11:30-1PM on Zoom

We’ve heard from the Redwood City Together team how helpful these Peer Coaching sessions have been. You do not need to have participated in a prior session to join. Also, if you know another SV2 Partner that may be interested, please invite them.
Here is a recap of what we did in some prior Peer Coaching Sessions:
- Guided strategic discussion at community retreat and shared thoughts and resources for staff professional development
- Updated All Together Data Dashboard and advised on how to align with core partners on priorities and next steps
Quote from Rafael Avendaño (Executive Director, Redwood City Together):
“Last April [2023] we decided to start not just a partnership but a relationship with SV2 and it has been truly profound. The amount of listening, learning and care that has been poured from the SV2 community has elevated the work of RWC Together to better support our Redwood City and North Fair Oaks ecosystem for our most vulnerable community members. Our organization’s pulse is strong with the support from our partners like SV2. We know that there will be challenges along the way as we try to address health, wellness and education gaps in our community, challenges that have truly long existed. With the peer coaching sessions that we have been receiving from the SV2 network, we will find a way to be strategic, and tenacious to learn how to move forward. As a team, we extend our deepest thanks to partner community organizations, our community members and the SV2 network for our collaborative work and dedication to advance the success of youth and families in our Redwood City and North Fair Oaks Community.”
