SV2 is delighted to sponsor this Magnify Community event discussing how philanthropists are stretching boundaries with their giving to meet the needs of this historic moment.
Donors from Silicon Valley and beyond have given millions of dollars to address converging health, economic, racial justice, and environmental crises, and their generosity and compassion have fueled vital relief and support efforts across our communities.
Yet as we brace for the months and years ahead, the scale and breadth of ongoing and deepening needs will require each of us to step up in even bolder ways. These are the rainy days many philanthropists have been saving for, and the challenges at hand require not just immediate response but long-term commitment to deep and lasting reform.
We invite you to join a conversation with donors David and Jennifer Risher, founders of the #HalfMyDAF challenge, and Pia Infante, Co-Executive Director at The Whitman Institute, to discuss ways individual donors and foundations are accelerating payouts, devising new strategies to put equity at the forefront of their giving, and taking other steps to fulfill the promise of philanthropy in this moment. Find inspiration to stretch your boundaries and take a fresh look at old assumptions to create greater impact with your giving.
This session will be held in virtual format via Zoom. The meeting access info will be sent via Eventbrite confirmation emails. To access the meeting info, Eventbrite will require you to log in or create an account if you don’t already have one.
