SV2 Teens will visit Youth Law Center, one of the three organizations the group is considering in their grantmaking process. Teens will learn firsthand about the organization’s work, meet with leadership from the organization to discuss how they might use grant funds from SV2 Teens, and may engage in service projects with the organization if circumstances permit. This will provide the Teens with ample opportunities to learn about the issues that resilient youth face in the Bay Area, each specific organization’s approach, and more.
This meeting will be held at Youth Law Center in San Francisco. All SV2 Teens will meet from 2:30-4:00pm. The Teens leadership team will meet afterwards from 4:00-4:30pm.
Info on SV2 Teens Program: We invite all teenage children of SV2 Partners in 7th-12th grade to participate in SV2 Teens. SV2 Teens is a comprehensive philanthropic and service experience through which participants develop deeper knowledge of the nonprofit sector and grantmaking, gain exposure to social issues and nonprofits addressing them, and are inspired to make a bigger difference. Apply here by January 14 to participate, if you have not applied already.
