Amy Everitt
Community Organizing Grant Round Co-Leader
Amy Everitt is the vibrant force behind Golden State Opportunity (GSO), a non-profit on a mission to end poverty and empower families for financial success. Amy is not your typical advocate – she’s a powerhouse with a zest for championing causes she holds dear.
As the President of Golden State Opportunity, Amy channels her passion into creating a world where all families can prosper. Her advocacy extends beyond financial well-being; she’s a fierce defender of the environment and is dedicated to securing a livable climate for future generations, including her own children.
Prior to GSO, she was the Vice-President of Special Projects at NARAL Pro-Choice America (now Reproductive Freedom for All) where she spearheaded NARAL’s pioneering corporate engagement initiative. She also served as the California Director for NARAL, running policy, advocacy and outreach campaigns that broke barriers when they became law and one bill went to the US Supreme Court. But Amy’s impact reaches far beyond reproductive rights. She’s been a driving force in political campaigns across California and played a strategic role at the Democratic National Committee. For roughly a decade between politics, Amy worked in Southeast Asia as the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City and as the International Trade Specialist for Asia at the US Trade & Development Agency.
Currently, Amy sits on the Board of Mothers Out Front and actively engages with the Silicon Valley DemFems. Her commitment to civic matters is unyielding. A 5th generation Californian, Amy resides in Burlingame with her three children.
